Position Overview:
The Athletic Trainer Educator is responsible for developing and implementing educational training programs for aspiring athletic trainers. This role focuses on providing comprehensive knowledge, skills, and expertise to students pursuing a career in athletic training. Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop educational curriculum and training materials for athletic training programs.
2. Deliver high-quality classroom instruction to students, covering a range of topics related to athletic training, including injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation techniques.
3. Utilize various teaching methods, such as lectures, discussions, hands-on demonstrations, and simulations, to enhance student learning and engagement.
4. Assess student progress through assignments, projects, exams, and practical demonstrations to ensure effective learning outcomes.
5. Provide individualized support and guidance to students, addressing their queries, concerns, and academic challenges.
6. Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure consistency and alignment of the athletic training curriculum with industry standards and best practices.
7. Stay updated with advancements in athletic training research, techniques, and technologies to enhance instructional content and delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
2. Current certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Certified Athletic Trainer or in a related role.
4. Demonstrated expertise in athletic training techniques, injury prevention, evaluation, and treatment protocols.
5. Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics as they relate to athletic injuries and rehabilitation.
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to students.
7. Proven ability to develop curriculum and instructional materials for educational programs.
8. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. Proficiency in using technology and instructional aids to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
